My client, a main dealer in the West London area is currently looking for a Parts Advisor on a full-time permanent basis.
You will need to have previous experience working as a Parts Advisor in a main or franchised dealership or in Euro Car Parts or a TPS type environment.
Duties of the Parts Advisor, day by day:
• Assisting technicians by looking up parts needed for vehicle repair.
• Answering phone calls and assisting walk-ins and wholesale customers with their parts needs.
• Tracking all incoming or outgoing parts for a dealership.
• Locating available parts when the dealership is out of stock.
• Handling parts payment collection and making sure all parts are billed appropriately.
• Packaging and shipping parts back to the manufacturer.
• Referring to parts manual to identify the right part for the make and model and year of vehicles being serviced.
Skills required for this parts role:
• This role is pivotal in ensuring that all customers and colleagues are accurately informed.
• When working to deadlines, being able to manage your time effectively, is essential. Strong organisation skills are key to this.
• A resilient person is someone who has strong coping skills and can draw on these when life presents challenges.
• To ensure personal and team success, being motivated is essential.
