HGV Technician & Plant Technician Vacancy
Stourport-on-Severn, Midlands
44.5k basic + bonus + overtime + benefits
As the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician / Truck Mechanic / Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic , your day to day, you will be:

Performing major and minor repairs to plant machinery as well as heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles as required
Carrying out PDI works and attachment set up on plant machinery
Mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery
Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services according to machine hrs and schedules
Maintaining inventory in the service vehicle and cleanliness from oil spills and dust
Working with other departments, including the sales team to ensure a quality and reliable service level is provided to customers
Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for to machines/vehicles
Maintaining records of machines/vehicles that have been repaired or handled
Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims according to manufacturer requirements or escalating them to higher management
Providing in-house training to recruits and trainees as required
Carrying out your role with quality, compliance and health and safety always at the forefront of what you do
The successful HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician / Truck Mechanic / Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic will need to be:

Level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus plant machinery repair and maintenance
Be a resilient person is someone who has strong coping skills and can draw on these when life presents challenges
Ensure personal and team success, being motivated is essential and is a key part of your role and it is part of being a brilliant team player
Precision in diagnosing issues and conducting repairs to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within timeframes to meet customer demands and maintain workshop efficiency

Hours are Monday to Friday and based on a 45 hour week plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. 40 hour week with no Saturday's also available.
